This card explores our misconceptions of the material world. The girl has been given a beautiful red bird, which is absorbing all her attention. However, she is failing to notice her beautiful surroundings, which will supply her with more joy than the bird ever could. Ironically, the bird would be happier in the woods than in its caged environment and the same is possibly true of the girl.
